Dealing with the nuts and bolts - and electronic systems - of running the Army and its hardware, from building a base to getting a Challenger tank's weapons system sorted.

Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers

  • REME Electromechanical Trades

Your job will be to make sure the Army's equipment - from armoured vehicles to machine guns - is ready to use at a moments notice. Whether you are a Vehicle Mechanic, Vehicle Electrician, Armourer, Metalsmith or Recovery Mechanic, your job will be vital to the Army's effectiveness.

  • REME Electronic and Aircraft Technical Trades

You will work some of the most hi-tech equipment in the Army. You will be trained in sophisticated electronic systems like the thermal imaging and radar tracking systems used in the Challenger 2 main battle tank or the Apache Attack Helicopter.

  • REME Support Trades

You will secure the resources needed by the highly skilled Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers. As a Regimental Specialist, that means organising unit defence and communication schemes as well as designing and delivering training courses. As a Technical Storeman, you will manage a vast range of components and specialist tools.

Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME)
REME Support Trades control the specialist tools, test equipment and the different stores that help the REME repair all Army Equipment.

Royal Signals
Communications Logistics Group handles radio equipment, making sure the Army has the communication gear it needs to stay in touch and do its job.

Army Air Corps
Aviation Support Specialists have the job of keeping the Army's helicopters fuelled and armed, so aircraft like the Apache are ready to go into action at a moment's notice.

Royal Artillery
Artillery Logistics ensures the re-supply of anything from fuel to high velocity missiles wherever the Army if operating.
