Salary: £27,810 to £31,396 per annum inclusive of all allowances depending on experience/performance.
The UK's premier wholesale market authority is seeking experienced new members of staff to assist with the running of Smithfield Market in the City of London.
As a member of the security team you will be responsible for ensuring a safe environment exists for all users of the Market and that all property is protected by maintaining order, preventing and detecting crime and unlawful activity, enforcing the bylaws and regulating traffic. The job involves patrolling the market, attending incidents, monitoring CCTV and you will be required to hold or obtain a First Aid Certificate. Applicants will have previous security or enforcement experience and be able to demonstrate your ability to work as part of a team, use your initiative, deal tactfully but firmly with others in pressure situations and complete routine administrative tasks.
The market is manned 24 hours 365 days a year a day and Constables work a three shift rota including nights and weekends.
The successful candidate will be required to satisfy pre-employment screening checks including satisfactory DBS Clearance.
