Our client is a global, listed provider of B2B products and services, to some of the world's leading blue chip multinational names. It is currently seeking a degree educated, marketing/commercial sales professional to take on the newly created role of Insight Manager located within its EMEA product and marketing development function. Reporting to the Marketing Director for EMEA, you can be located either in the UK office or offices in France, Spain or Germany and will travel extensively throughout the EMEA, especially European region.
Your remit will be to generate the right number and quality of leads to meet country specific revenue and margin targets. Specifically as Insight Manager you will lead and drive the required "deep dives" into five strategic areas: existing FMCG sectors, new sectors, competition, sustainability and NPS/Customer Experience. To achieve this you will be work closely with local Marketing Management colleagues and other central and local in country functions to develop processes and lines of analysis to generate real valuable insight. Your work will drive the strategy and action plans of the local Country Leadership teams and regional business unit heads across the EMEA region. This is a very high profile role requiring the ability to influence at senior executive level within a matrix structure, building relationships, trust and credibility across multiple hierarchy levels. A strong commercial sales foundation combined with a track record of successful strategic Insight Management and delivery will be critical to success. This role requires a self starter, with superior analytical skills combined with the business acumen, focus and understanding of the business challenges facing the EMEA region.
The Role
* Lead EMEA marketing efforts to generate real insight through consistent processes and structured analysis of markets that produce comparable results across the region and fully aligned with global best practices
* Bring thought leadership into the insight arena across the five strategic areas described above
* Develop organizational marketing competence by providing the necessary tools, helping to frame strategic/marketing questions, and challenging accepted wisdom with facts
* Develop collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels in all country business units to exceed stated objectives and expectations
* Measure impact of insight in the business (revenue, price, margin).

The Ideal Person

* University Degree educated in supply chain, operations, engineering, or business. Masters highly advantageous. Fluent English and second European language desirable.
* Minimum 3-5 years Insight Management experience including market segmentation and analysis. Excellent practical real world business analytical skills which generate business growth opportunities.
* Strong process management skills, and ability to develop value propositions
* Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills commensurate with a role influencing senior/board level executives.
* High level capability in motivating and driving cross functionally at all levels to deliver solutions.
* Excellent and demonstrable marketing and commercial acumen to lead growth.
* Currently working within the multinational FMCG, Retail or Supply Chain or Consultancy sector serving FMCG Manufacturers or Retailers.
* Previous early commercial sales experience in FMCG/Retail would be highly desirable.
